A Feather from Heaven?

Yesterday out on the playground, one of my cute little first grade boys came up to me with a tiny white down feather. "What is this?" he asked me. "Well, it looks like a feather." "Oh, well, where did it come from?" "Maybe from one of the angels in heaven," was my reply. "You know, they are God's messengers and they might be awfully busy this time of year and accidentally drop some of their feathers." So he looked at me like I was crazy and said this: "No. I think someone just threw a football and hit a bird." Yes, I suppose that explanation would make more sense.
