New House!
Here are some pics of our new house. I juuuuuuust finished organizing the office (seen behind the white curtains) but there are still random papers all over the floor. I also didn't bother picking anything else up before taking pictures :-). But you get the general idea...

The Beach!
Bryan and I are celebrating our fifth wedding anniversary this week! We first went to the beach last weekend, where we caught a car show in Seaside, ate pizza in Cannon, walked around, ate candy and watched movies in our hotel room, played in the arcade, and toured shipyards in Astoria. Our final desination was back to the beach at Seaside for a picnic before heading home. Tonight (this is our actual wedding day) we are going to dinner and a movie, and on Monday, we are driving to Seattle to fly to NYC and tour that and Philly and D.C. Woo hoo! Im so excited (and a little nervous!). I love you Bryan Heinrichs. xoxo

Remember When…
• We were told to wear “everyday” clothes on Saturdays and if we were not, we had to change our clothes and shoes.
• We would collect leaf piles to jump in.
• You taught us all how to drive a stick in the Tektronix parking lot.
• We took early morning bikerides.
• At a 4-way stop in the neighborhood, we usually ended up stopped in the middle of the intersection. Then I later got a ticket for rolling through a nearby stop sign. I wonder where I learned it from?
• The mail would turn into a flying lesson at dinner.
• Toothpaste wasn’t finished until you squeezed everything you could out of it.
• Same goes with any food.
• Saturdays consisted of oldies in the morning, Bob Brinker in the afternoon, and America’s Most Wanted at night.
• Sunday mornings were filled with Country Oldies and church, followed by the Sunday paper and a piggyback ride on the living room floor.
• We bought a trailer and a suburban to go camping with, although tent camping in previous summers was just as fun.
• You tried to build a bike rack like the one on the squareback station wagon, but it just wouldn’t work on the suburban (so we tied the bikes up inside the trailer).
• You and Mom planned a surprise trip to Wildlife Safari but I got sick with pneumonia, so instead you spent your vacation days at home with me.
• You would tell us to “ease up on the gas” if there was a red light five miles up the road.
• You sucked up bees with a vacuum cleaner outside for hours on end.
• You are always a gracious host- never ceasing with offering second, third and fourth helpings of food to guests because otherwise they would starve.
• In later years, we took up bowling.
• Christmas tree cutting turned into a lesson on how many ways you could tie a tree securely to the roof of a car.
• On the Fourth of July, we biked down to the fireworks stand after seeing the Hillsboro Parade.
• Allowance was $5 and everything was a lesson in economics.
• Everything always turned into a lesson, because I think you wanted me to know how to fix everything just like you (the dryer, the car, the dishwasher…)
• Mom helped me on Spelling words, but somehow I always ended up going to you for questions on Math.
• You are also the best at pulling out slivers from fingers.
• Our van broke down at the first rest stop we stopped at on the way to California (Disneyland!) and just when I thought my dreams were ruined, you got it to work. But I still worried Cliff wouldn’t start the rest of the trip.
• You took us flying in a small plane. I liked it until the last time, when my door came unlatched.
• You faithfully offer $20 (or $40 or ???) to the offering plate at church every week, even when times were tough and budgets stretched.
• After all that, you paid for four college tuitions and four weddings.
• We would drive to North Dakota and get up at 4:00 am.
• We hung wet swim towels out the window of the van as we drove along.
• You taught us to record gas mileage, cost, mpg, and number of gallons.
• You installed a blue light in the staircase.
• We went to parks and swimming pools in the summer.
• You would wait for us in the car as we took piano lessons, after a long day
….I remember all this too and I just wanted to say THANK YOU!

I haven't been to a concert since high school- and Tim is my all-time favorite country singer. I have all his cds to date and I love him. So much. So this was a veeeeeeeery exciting evening :-)

POST 400!
So...its been so long I couldn't remember my password. Time will do that to an old brain. And speaking of time, I cannot believe how fast it has flown by. Here is a post I wrote on the night before school started this past year:
"Tonight is my last official night of summer- and I am cranky. Its so sad and hard to believe its over! But, it was a very good summer- my first "off" since before being eligible to legally work! I have established a routine that hopefully I can keep- staying on a routine sleep schedule (and no headaches since my ER migraine!), exercising, reading the Bible, etc. Of course, there are things I didn't get to or things I didn't do enough of."
And, now, as of last week, another year of school has ended! And on this 400th post, of a blog in which I rarely have time to catch up,nor remember the password to, I will review what has been new in the past month and a half, and once I figure out my goals for THIS summer, I will post those too. (Im trying not to follow any illusions about having tons of time to get everything done like last summer, plus, we are still unpacking boxes from our move, but its still good to have a guideline!).
In May, we officially exited our old house on the 1st and began to inhabit our current home, which we love. We also love the location, as it is .4 miles around the block from Bryan's shop, and 1.5 miles from my school. We save on time and gas. Life is good!
Bryan is slowly (and sometimes all at once) picking up business at his shop. We hope to get off unemployment one day, and they (Bryan and Andy) are doing good with paying off start-up costs and building a nice savings off the profits they are making.
Speaking of Bryan, he had a birthday (number 27) in which we celebrated with a dinner at Red Robin. We also celebrated Mother's Day with a game night at our house! Then the Heinrichs family also celebrated Ben's birthday in Seattle and Brad's in Sherwood.
The rest of May was pretty much unpacking when I could and wrapping up the year at school. I also rejoined the hospitality team at church, so I will be volunteering a lot more there now too. And I also volunteered one night at my very first "McTeacher Night" for our school.
We were gifted with an option to travel this summer, so Bryan and I decided to travel to the East Coast (quickly-only about 5 or 6 days) to see NYC, Philly, D.C., the coast, and ???. We are excited but I still need to nail down the details.
With moving and work, my weight loss successes have been minimal. I began attending Weight Watchers meetings again, and trying to excercise more. But there is that whole time thing!
Right now we are in the middle of the Rose Festival which happens every June, so last week we went to the Starlight Parade and this week we drove downtown to see the carnival rides!
Next month, I start working my summer temp job at a real estate office. I also have Jury Duty in August, and back to 3rd grade for my 5th year of teaching at LCS in September! (unless God has other plans??)
Ill be back later with my list of goals for these few short weeks of summer! :-0
